Ice Skating

Ok... I wasn't exactly skating on ice today. It was more like 'walking'. I felt like a robot while I was at it. Not bad for a first timer. At least I didn't fall flat on my face or get my arse wet.

Never mind those human barriers along the rink (I must confess that I'm part of them at times when I could hardly balance myself)

OR

those freaky circumstances - think hit-and-miss accidents, where other first timers nearly crashed into me or some other idiotic peole hogging the rink to chit-chat with their friends who were OUTSIDE the rink

OR

kids skating gracefully on ice. Damn!!! It made me feel sooooo shameful as I try to balance myself while they whizzed past me like nobody's business. They should start behaving their age!!

Nay... I'm just jealous. After 2 hrs on ice, I'm getting there but not quite. Well, at least I could "walk" around the rink without any support... to think I'd wanted to do figure skating when I was a kid.

Dream, dream, dream (*song*)...

An unexpected trip...

The weather's been really crazy over past few weeks - rainy yet humid. Decided to pop by Ikea on Sunday to do some shopping and exhaust myself with the barang barang.

Rays of sunlight flickered amongst the trees... almost dreamy... almost magical. Took out my camera to whip a few shots along my way home (on a moving bus). And wow! Who would've known the almost whimsical effect it had on the pix...

As the bus made its way down along Lornie Road, Macritchie Reservoir came into view. There! The sunlight's playing peek-a-boo again. Pressed the bell. Alighted. And there I was, transported into another 'magical' land again...

Heart Pain

I'm feeling a huge pang of pain in my chest now as I read on about their sakura trip. Sunday afternoon. Downtown at BKK's oldies cafe. Seconds swooshed by on my watch. Counting down. They should have reached Japan a few hours ago.

Tuesday night. 2.09am. Here I am typing and whining away about my lost trip to the land of the sakura. Desparate. Dejected. Disappointed.

There. I'd summarized it all.
