Upper/ Lower Pierce Reservoir

Woke up at 7.30am this day to get ready for an "adventure" at Lower Pierce Reservoir. Due to a tummy ache, I was late in joining the rest and had to head down to the reservoir alone. Unfortunately, the cab that the rest took, had drove them to Upper Pierce Reservoir instead.

So without a map on hand, I walked from Thomson road and all the way up and into Upper Pierce Reservoir via Casuarina Road. OH BOY! I should've known better and brought my bicycle along. The initial 20 mins or so was a rather peaceful and relaxing walk. But as I ventured even further and the end wasn't anywhere in sight, I started to curse and swear (at myself though). From Causuarina Road, I had walked for about 45 mins before I reached Upper Pierce Reservoir, Gate 7.

Just as I thought my "nightmare" of walking alone was about to end, a comfort cab zoomed past me and came to an abrupt brake. Alas! The guys were in there. They'd decided that Upper Pierce Reservoir wasn't worth the stay and was making their way down to Lower Pierce Reservoir. They couldn't reach me on my mobile as there was no reception in the dense forested area. And because there were 6 of us, we couldn't possibly fit into one cab. So tuk got off the cab and walked the way out with me.

Thank god luck was on our side and we didn't have to walk too far. We'd managed to hitch a ride from a good Samaritan (after 4 failed attempts with the thumbs-up hand gesture) who had went to the extent of dropping us off at the entrance of Lower Pierce Reservoir. (^_^)

After a short rest, we began our "2nd" adventure. This time round, I'll let the pictures do the talking!
