My Cooking!!!

Hi All,
Just wanna broadcast to the world that I'd done an amazing feat in the last few days of year 2004. I actually COOK for my family. Yes!!!! You heard me. I cooked.

It started with a simple plan to just do something good for my family since it's the season to be jolly and all. Then it came to the extent i was asking around from office to friends and turning to books for receipes.. and finally led to the disbelieve from my family....

....
....
....
Coz it took me freaking 3 hrs odd to cook the following items:

1) Samosa (ready-made & they dashed for it)

2) Rice (Well, although I used the rice cooker, I still washed it okie...)

3) Fried potato balls with chicken (Wowww!!! The potato balls look very nice and rounded w/o cracks! But tasted a bit bland coz i dint add salt to the potato... took me the longest to complete this dish)

4) Caulliflower (Mom bought an old vege, so old vege tasted really hard and awful)

5) Pork Ribs soup (Too much water... Father had to add in tablespoons of salt and soy sauce... finally didnt turn out too bad)

6) Jellies!!! (this is the easy part... I had raspberry and lemon flavor!)

All in all... not too bad for a person who usually cook maggie mee and eggs. The portions made are too small so my family kept shouting: "Who wants mcdonalds?" That came as a natural choice as my brother-in-law was driving and it was only a few blocks away and I was hungry too.

Nonetheless, it made me more determined that I shan't cook even when i get married... I'll get even skinnier. Have also attached the pix of my master pieces for your viewing!!!!
