Stationed @ Tuas

Dear All,
I've been posted to Tuas and is to remain there for 3 solid months. So from the day I came back from my Taiwan backpacking trip, I've been braving the morning crowd and struggling to get to the office on time everyday. Mind you. It takes 2hrs to get to work from my place. Ahhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!

I've never had to be so disciplined in waking up on the dot before. Am still struggling to cope with it. Then, there's the long way home again. If I miss the company transport at 5.30pm (takes approx 1hr to get home), I'll have to wait till 7.30pm for the next bus home! Otherwise, I'll have to take the much longer route (approx 2 hrs odd) to get home!!!!! OMG!!!!!

Save me! Kinda screwed up actually. Not me. But XXX... I was only told by my colleague (who happened to thought that I knew) just one hr before I board the plan back to S'pore, via casual talk on MSN in a wulu cybercafe in Taipei, that I'll need to report to my current office in the morning and reach Tuas before 2pm. Wahhhh!!!!!! I knew I was going somewhere new... but I didn't knew it was so damn last minute... I was given the impression that it was perhaps one mth down the road before I re-locate.

Haiz... long story. Anywayz, given the very last min situation, I've yet to unpacked all the stuff that I'd bought from Taiwan. They're still lying in a pile near my bed. Will try to sort them out over the wkend. I don't even have the time to sort out my travel journal and photos. Will try and post them all up over the wkends... Keep a lookout!!!!!!!

make-up lesson

I don't know what has gotten into me these days. I've been a real spendthrift these days. Recently I just splurge on make-up from THE FACE SHOP (spent enough in one single receipt to become a member)when I don't even know how to. I didn't know which brush is for what purpose and what's a face cake until then. Btw, I'm still not quite getting the concept of those yet.

Nevertheless, it was quite fun (but expensive) shopping for those. On the evening that I was going for Forbidden City, I got my colleague to teach me how to make-up. It was quite funny actually and it turned out all right I guess - though my eyelids were a bit too dark under the normal lighting, coz of the eyeliner. But then again, I looked pretty cool in some settings. Anywayz, getting a bit too tired now. Will see if I can upload the pix some time later (of me with make-up, blush and lip gloss).

Anywayz, be glad I still look like a human being in the pix.

what a disaster

haiz. Tired. Have been working late for the past few days and over the wkend to earn some extra bucks. And yet, my only way of distressing is facing impending threats - - - my trip to taiwan has come under pressure. My brother and father have been nagging at me over the past few days, asking me to postpone or cancel my trip altogether because of the "anti-ah-bian" situation. It seems to have grown a lot larger in scale and strikes (and perhaps even riots) are expected.

Damn! I've been looking forward to this trip for months. What should I do if I really have to give it up? Haiz. Will really be damn xianz man. I was even planning to "import" cutie stuff from Taiwan and have been preparing and researching for this trip. What a waste. More importantly, if I'm to cancel or postpone more trip, it'll mean a good few hundred bucks down the drian for nothing. Guess I can only cross my fingers now and hope everything goes well.

Ok. Let's talk about some other "happier" stuff. I just got myself a ipod video at the recent comex show at $$440. I hadn't even thought about owning one until there and then, i felt the impulse and gave in. Spent another $600 to buy a panasonic lumix camera from my brother. You might ask why I bothered to even buy from him when I can just take and use... it's because he'll start nagging and saying irritating stuff from the time I hold the camera in my hands and just touch the "on" button. So I kinda got enough of that nagging and bought it from him instead.

Am still thinking if I should get a PSP also. And there's still the new MacBook too. Damn... i better find a new sugar daddy soon.
